ボーイスカウト豊見城1団と、ＢＳＡＢＳ101隊・ＢＳ101女子隊・ＣＳ102隊・ＢＳ102隊、BS112隊、米陸軍有志一同が、３月１６日（土）、午前、バクナー中将慰霊碑（糸満市）において清掃活動と植樹を実施しました。
SAJ Scout Group Tomigusuku 1, BSA Pack 102 Troop101, 101 girls troop, & 102,112 ―
The volunteers from the SAJ Scout Group Tomigusuku 1, BSA Pack 102, & Troop 101, 101 girls troop, 102, 112 held the cleaning up together at the Lieutenant General Buckner Monument (Itoman) in the morning on March 16 (Sat) .
清掃活動開始前に行われた開会式では金城宜嗣豊見城１団ベンチャー隊長が、
①この事業が２００７年に、金城岳志豊見城１団ビーバー副長のスカウト時代、彼のイーグルスカウトプロジェクトとして始まったこと。
②１２年前３本の植樹で始まった桜が今や４５本を越え、バクナーヒルが桜の名所に近付いている事、などの説明をしました。
In the opening ceremony, Mr. Yoshitugu Kinjo Venture Crew Adviser explained that ①This event began in 2007 as a Ventuere Crew assistant adviser Takeshi Kinjo’s Eagle Scout project when he was a scout.
②Since 2008, this business have been in cooperation with the volunteers from BSA and U.S. military, then it evolved into the large-scale clean-up activities now. So this year, this business is the 13 years. ②13 years ago, he planted 3 cherry trees, it increased to 45 or more.
作業は１０時からスタートし、雑草の刈り取り、２本の桜の植樹などの作業を行いました。
Work started from 10:00, participants did work such as cutting of weeds, the planting of cherry trees.
なお、今回の作業でも沖縄県平和祈念財団から派遣された職員に技術指導を、また、糸満市からはゴミ袋と清掃車の提供をいただきました。
In this cleaning work as well, we were provided technical guidance by the staff who were dispatched by the Okinawa Peace Memorial Foundation, and garbage bags and a garbage truck were provided by Itoman City.
閉会式の後、全員で記念撮影をして、来年の再会を約して、清掃作業を終えました。
After the closing ceremony, participants were taken a group photo together, they reunited next year and finished the cleaning work.
